Purchase Assistance

Pre-Purchase Assistance

Have you decided to purchase an airplane. Would you like someone to fly along with you to check out the airplane you are considering. New Horizons Aviation can help you. In addition to providing the flight instruction time most insurance companies will require before you can fly your new plane, we can offer assistance in helping you with aircraft records, AD complains, prior maintenance history, and a thorough inspection prior to your purchase.

While we would still recommend a Pre-Buy Inspection by a licensed A&P mechanic, our owner / operator was formally an Aerospace Ground Equipment Technician in the US Air Force. He has a fairly extensive knowledge of aviation systems and mechanics, and can help you check out the plane you plan to purchase before you close the deal and spend additional money on the Pre-Buy Inspection.

After a successful inspection we can assist you in picking up the plane either by ferrying the plane to your home airport and completing your transition training, or we can fly back with you and complete most if not all of your transition training en route.

Private Pilot Training Our training curriculum was developed to aid the student in reaching his or her potential in the shortest amount of time in order to save training dollars. Our program was devised by uniting the faster paced training programs of CFR Part 141 schools, with the newer approach offered by Part 61 schools. This combination allows us to tailor a program to meet your needs in the minimal amount of time. While the average Private Pilot takes his or her check ride at 73 hours, we believe we can bring that substantially closer to the required 40 hours for the rating. That's an average savings of 33 flight hours.

Instrument Rating While the Instrument Rating is said to be the hardest of all ratings to attain, it can certainly be the most rewarding. Too many times we may have to cancel a trip to a place with beautiful weather only because we couldn't get out of our local airport due to weather. Your Instrument Rating will help you get passed that and on to the good times ahead. Training in the North East will help to ensure you know how to make the real life go or no-go decisions, and you make them accurately. Contact us today to find out more about what this rating can do for you.

Multi-Engine TrainingLooking for a little more power, room, payload, or luxury? If you answered yes to any one of those, Multi-Engine planes have something for you. We can help you with your multi-engine training, including in-line thrust multi-engine, and Commercial Multi-Engine ratings. Just wait till you see how much fun you can have in a multi-engine plane. And believe me when I say this, you'll be smiling ear to ear the first time we shut down one engine and you see yourself flying along without any problems at all.

Commercial TrainingTime to move up? Have your sights set on a career in aviation? Or, perhaps you just wish to sharpen your skills and become a more professional pilot. Any way you slice it the Commercial license will help you to meet all of those goals. Not only will you be able to be paid to act as a pilot, you will also find yourself much more capable, and knowledgeable in your daily flying. Let us show you how rewarding it can be.
